Give to the Mental Health Improvement Fund
It’s not too late to give to the Mental Health Improvement Fund!
The Mental Health Improvement Fund is a designated giving option as part of the 2025 United Way of Greater Milwaukee & Waukesha County (United Way) annual campaign. Launched by the health system members of the Milwaukee Health Care Partnership (MHCP) – Ascension Wisconsin, Aurora Health Care, Children’s Wisconsin, and Froedtert ThedaCare Health – and the United Way, the fund plays a critical role in working towards the shared goal of improving access to mental health services in Milwaukee County.
“This fund has been critical to maintaining not only the behavioral health services we offer to our patients here at Bread of Healing, but our ability to coordinate services for other Free and Charitable Clinic Collaborative (FC3) member organizations,” said Beth Thorson, Director of Social Work Services, FC3, Bread of Healing. “Every dollar has a significant impact on the lives of people who would otherwise go without care.”
Funds secured during the 2025 campaign are granted out in the spring of 2026. The Mental Health Improvement Fund supports non-profit organizations that provide mental and behavioral health care services for low-income, underserved people of all ages in Milwaukee County. This could include activities such as increasing access to mental health outpatient services (diagnostic or treatment) or improving care coordination for adults, children, and families needing mental health services.
