Racial and Health Equity Focus in New United Way/MHCP Health Improvement Fund Video: Representation Matters

As health equity is a key priority for all MHCP members and the United Way, this year’s HIF promotional video focuses on the importance of recruiting and retaining a representative workforce in ensuring the availability, accessibility, and acceptability of health care services.  Please view this year’s video, Representation Matters.

Since 2012, the United Way of Greater Milwaukee & Waukesha County (United Way) and the Milwaukee Health Care Partnership (MHCP) have teamed up to sponsor the Health Improvement Fund (HIF).

The HIF is one of the designated funds featured as part of the United Way’s annual giving campaign – underway now!  Catalyzed by a $2 million challenge grant from Advocate Aurora Health, Ascension Wisconsin, Children’s Wisconsin, and Froedtert Health, HIF contributions are used to support safety-net clinics and community organizations that expand access to affordable medical, dental, and behavioral health services across the Milwaukee community.

And please consider directing some or all of your United Way pledge to the HIF, and promoting the HIF as part of your organization’s employee campaign or with vendor partners, external colleagues, or friends.
