MHCP Members Win MANDI Award for Long-Standing Commitment and Contribution to Community
In August, the members of the Milwaukee Health Care Partnership (MHCP) were selected as winners of the LISC Milwaukee Awards for Neighborhood Development Innovation (MANDI) BMO Harris Cornerstone Award. This award recognized the MHCP members’ longstanding commitment to the community, and persistence and effectiveness over time.
“Collaborative work is difficult, and most collective impact efforts have a short lifespan. What sets us apart is a staunch commitment to our shared purpose and the understanding that the best way to serve our community is together,” said Carrie Killoran, President – Greater Milwaukee PSA & St. Luke’s Medical Center at Advocate Aurora Health and Chair of the MHCP. “I am proud of my fellow members for the dedication, participation, and accountability shown over the years – and look forward to strengthening our efforts into the future.”
Over the years, members have worked to improve access and advance health equity through over 50 programs and initiatives, including the Emergency Department to Medical Home, Housing is Health, and Specialty Access for Uninsured programs, and the Milwaukee Enrollment Network. Currently, nearly 100 health care leaders and providers participate in more than 25 committees and workgroups that are focused on improving health care for underserved populations in Milwaukee County.
Congratulations to the MHCP members!
