Organizational Advancement Director

Alison True leads organizational advancement for the Milwaukee Health Care Partnership, overseeing marketing communications and fund development for the consortium.

Alison previously served as the Communications Program Manager for the Wisconsin Department of Health Services (DHS) COVID-19 Response and Recovery Team, leading public, internal, and stakeholder COVID-19 communication efforts for the state of Wisconsin, having transitioned into that role after working as the Public Information Officer for the DHS Vaccination Task Force. Prior to her work with DHS, Alison directly served the Milwaukee community as the Director of Communications at Sixteenth Street Community Health Centers.

Alison received a Masters of Science in Health Communication from Boston University and a Masters of Arts in International Communication, Translation, and Interpretation from the Universidad Pablo de Olavide. She is a current member of the Society for Health Communication Health Literacy Committee and served on the Public Relationship Society of America Health Academy Executive Committee from 2019-2021.
