Support and Promote the Mental Health Improvement Fund
The 2026 United Way of Greater Milwaukee & Waukesha County (United Way) annual campaign is well underway! The Milwaukee Health Care Partnership (MHCP) and United Way encourage you to learn about an important designated giving option, the Mental Health Improvement Fund.
The Mental Health Improvement Fund was launched by the health system members of MHCP – Ascension Wisconsin, Aurora Health Care, Children’s Wisconsin, and Froedtert ThedaCare – and the United Way. The fund plays a critical role in working towards the shared goal of improving access to mental health and substance use services in Milwaukee County.
The Mental Health Improvement Fund supports non-profit organizations that provide mental health and substance use services for low-income, underserved people of all ages in Milwaukee County. This could include activities such as increasing access to mental health outpatient services (diagnostic or treatment), providing inpatient care for individuals experiencing substance abuse, or improving care coordination for adults, children, and families needing mental health services. Funds secured during the 2026 campaign are granted in spring 2027.
