Updated Health Compass Milwaukee Offers Improved Experience, Better Data

Health Compass Milwaukee, an online repository of health-related data about Milwaukee County residents and communities, now offers improved functionalities and a more user-friendly layout. Continuous improvement of Health Compass Milwaukee supports the Milwaukee Health Care Partnership (MHCP) members’ collective commitment to improving equitable access to data, building data literacy, and facilitating data-driven strategies in the Milwaukee community.

The four health system members of MHCP–Ascension Wisconsin, Aurora Health Care, Children’s Wisconsin, and Froedtert ThedaCare Health Inc.— launched Health Compass Milwaukee in 2019 to create a one-stop, trusted online resource that provides comprehensive health-related data, comparative analytics, and health improvement planning resources for health care providers and community-based partners in Milwaukee County. It aimed to build an invaluable community resource and elevate the importance of the availability of current community health information to support research, planning, and community-wide health improvement.

Improvements to Health Compass Milwaukee were completed in the summer of 2024. Upgrades of note include:

“Having trustworthy, current data at our fingertips allows all of our organizations – health systems, health centers, public health departments, and community-based organizations – to implement data-driven health improvement strategies and, most importantly, track our progress,” said Bridget Clementi, VP of Community Health, Children’s Wisconsin. “Health Compass Milwaukee has been a critical element of that process, and these improvements will only better position us for individual and collective impact.”
